A Long Race

September 29, 2009: our official campaign kick-off. We chose Nectar's Lounge, where I hosted Obama campaign events in 2008 and where I set my Burlington novel, The Dream of the White Village, ten years earlier.

A Film Student's Campaign Ad

This piece was shot and put together by a very talented student filmmaker named Chase Martin, who had two distinct tasks when he set out: 1) explain that voters somehow get six choices in the Chittenden County Senate Race, and 2) avoid being boring. I’m biased, but I think he made it happen.

Our first house party was in the summer of 2009, in South Burlington. We'd love to bring the campaign to your house too.
